Start your secondary school journey in Year 7 at Avila College.

1. Application Form

Complete the electronic Avila College Application Form and attach the relevant documentation. Please indicate if Avila College is your first preference.

2. Admission Interview

After applications close, we conduct an admission interview with each applicant. This short meeting is a chance to get to know each other better and an opportunity for students to ask questions about secondary school, transition and Avila College.

3. Letter of Offer

Letters of Offer are sent to all successful applicants. Offers must be completed, signed and returned to Avila College together with the Enrolment Fee and Debenture Deposit by the due date to confirm the place.

4. Transition Program

The Transition process starts the year prior to entry and includes a number of events for students and parents. Transition is designed to prepare students for a seamless entry into secondary school so they become familiar with the school campus and meet other students.

Key Dates – 2026 Enrolments

  • 16 August 2024: Applications close
  • 18 October 2024: Offers will be released to prospective Year 7 applicants.
  • 8 November 2024: Final date to accept offer.

Our Enrolment Policy

Avila College is a college which operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is owned, operated and governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS). There is an agreed order of priority for enrolment in MACS schools, which must be followed in the enrolment policy and procedures. The first priority of Catholic schools is the provision of a Catholic education for Catholic children.

The priority parishes for Avila College are:

Holy Family, Mount Waverley, St Leonard’s Glen Waverley, St Christopher’s Syndal, Good Shepherd Mulgrave, St Justin’s Wheelers Hill, St Scholastica’s Bennetswood, Christ Our Holy Redeemer, Oakleigh East, Holy Saviour Vermont South, St Simon’s Rowville, St Luke’s Wantirna, Holy Trinity Wantirna South, St Jude the Apostle Scoresby and St Timothy’s Vermont.

Enrolment Process

  • After families make an enquiry about enrolling their daughter at Avila College they will be sent information about the school and are invited to attend a school tour.
  • They will then submit a Student Application Form along with a $300 non-refundable Application Fee, which the Registrar will process.
  • Prospective students are invited to attend an admission interview with their parent so they can ask questions and we can get to know each other better.
  • Enrolment Offers are sent out in October of the Grade 5 year.
  • Families will then formally accept the offer of a place for their daughter by completing the Enrolment forms together with the enrolment fee of $900. This enrolment fee comprises a $450 debenture that is conditionally refundable upon completion of Year 12 and payment of all school fees and a non-refundable capital levy of $450.
