Creative Arts Festival
This year the Avila College community was invited to spend ‘An Evening with Peter Pan’, for the Creative Arts Festival and what an evening it was.
Creative Arts has been running for 30 years at the College and it is very much a student led production.
Over 250 girls were involved both on stage and behind the scenes, and they had been planning, scripting, and creating the choreography since the start of the year. Drama scenes were produced by each year level and they were an adaptation of the Peter Pan story, with some very entertaining results. The scenes were played out in soap opera style and there were many different approches presented including Aussie bogan, Star Wars, Hollywood glamour and even goth. The combination of music, dance, drama and multimedia impressed the audience who enjoyed ‘An Evening with Peter Pan’ very much.
