Supporting Year 12 Students with VTAC Applications

The release of VTAC results marks an important milestone in students’ 2020 VCE journey. The VTAC support team will be available to all students and families to help with any questions you may have when results are released.

Wednesday 30 December 

  • A staff member from Avila College will make contact with students today to congratulate them on their efforts.

  • If students would like to speak to a Careers practitioner or have a face to face meeting they will be able to make an appointment when contacted or by phoning the College office on 9831 9600. A booking confirmation will be emailed.

  • Appointments will be available between 12.30pm and 3.45pm on Wednesday.

  • Please check on the Careers guidance website on SIMON as many institutes will be open for institute or course specific information that you can directly access.

Thursday 31 December

  • Careers practitioners will be available for pre-booked interviews between 10.00 am and 3.45 pm.  Appointments can be made by phoning the College office on 9831 9600.

 College is closed – New Year’s Day Public Holiday

  • College is closed.

Monday 4 January

  • Change of Preference closes at 12.00pm.

  • Careers staff will be available via email 2020vtac@avilacollege.vic.edu.au between 10.00am and 11.30am for any last minute issues.

  • Please Note: The VTAC site often is overloaded on this day and changes are often not saved so it is important that you get your changes completed early.

Thursday 14 January

  • First round offers are released.

  • Careers staff will be available via email 2020vtac@avilacollege.vic.edu.au on this day.

  • 90% of offers are distributed on this day so we advise you to accept your offer.

FAQ

Do I have to come in for an appointment?
If you are happy with your current VTAC application, there is no need to have an appointment with a Careers practitioner.

Do I need to come into the College or can I have a phone/video conference conversation with a Careers practitioner?
You can choose to have a phone/video conference appointment or you can come in for a face-to-face appointment. It is your choice.

Can parents attend an interview with their daughter?
Yes, parents can attend with their daughter. Please sign in at Reception upon arrival at the College and you will be taken over to the Careers Hub.
