Central Australia Immersion

It was an “incredible, life-changing trip” according to the Avila College students who participated in the Central Australia Immersion. Together they camped near Uluru and had the privilege of staying on country with the Kulpitharra and Yunyarinyi Homeland communities where they shared stories around the campfire, discovered bush tucker and carved wood animals.
As part of the Immersion, Avila students also helped paint toilets and build a fire pit which will be used by the community for cooking, warmth and as a gathering space. The funds raised by students in the lead up to the Immersion were also used to purchase a commercial fridge, BBQ plates and solar lighting.
