Golden Jubilee Carnival and Open Day

The Golden Jubilee Carnival and Open Day held on Saturday March 21 was a huge success.

The Avila community enjoyed a great day of celebrations to mark the 50th year since the establishment of the college. The perfect weather helped to guarentee big crowds which included current students and families, staff and many members of the Alumnae who wanted to reconnct with their school. There were carnival rides, delicious food and wonderful entertainment provided by the students and the KIIS FM Street Team also came along on the day. 

The Parents and Friends Association did a wonderful job organising the day along with staff members from the college. Activities included games, face painting, a cake and a book stall as well as an Alumnae stall. There was a raffle with some great prizes on offer. All three prizes including a $2,000 travel voucher, a Gold Class Private Party and a $500 Westfield voucher were won by Avila College families.

It was also an Open Day at the college and many new families toured with the Student Ambassadors to see first hand what and Avila education has to offer. A great day was had by all and it was a fitting community celebration in the Golden Jubilee year of Avila College.
