Theatre Star Kala Gare Returns to Avila

Star of the MTC hit production “My Brilliant Career” and SIX the Musical, Kala Gare (Avila Class of 2014) returned to school for the 2025 International Women’s Day Breakfast. Interviewed by a student panel, Kala discussed her journey from Avila to the stage, following your passion and celebrating the highs when balancing the lows that can come with a career in the performing arts. Kala then had the audience on their feet in a standing ovation when she sang, demonstrating her incredible voice, commanding stage presence and love of performing.
